I'm experimenting with FC5 as a first time user and I want to boot the kernel-smp-devel-2.6.15-1.2054_FC5.1686. I ran a rpm -ivh and after that I have no idea what to do. I want to run this kernel because I'm trying to get my wireless DWL-520 adapter to work. According to this site,
http://acx100.sourceforge.net/wiki/ACX I need kernel headers, and I read that I need the kernel-devel to be working. Please help me get the kernel-devel to work, or my wireless driver to install...

Thanks

kernel-smp-devel or kernel-devel packages contain the files needed to compile driver modules for the kernel, they aren't bootable kernels.
