I came across this thread (http://forums.fedoraforum.org/forum/showthread.php?t=100136&highlight=ati) involving a fix for the ATI driver in Core 5. Unfortunately I've never dealt with src.rpm files.

My question is, how do you rebuild an src.rpm for installation?

Thanks in advance!

first, make sure you have the rpmbuild tools ready:
su -
yum install fedora-rpmdevtools rpm-build
then to rebuild a src rpm do:

su -
rpmbuild --rebuild --bb --target=`uname -m` filename.src.rpm
If you get errors then you'll have to install the sources and edit the specfile:

su -
rpm -ihv filename.src.rpm
cd /usr/src/redhat/SPECS
gedit filename.spec
then once you're modding is done rebuild your RPM with your spec file:

rpmbuild -ba /usr/src/redhat/SPECS/specname.spec
