Angry Startup problems only in FC5!

I've had debian, fedora core 4 on this system for quite some time. I installed FC5 today, started it up, installed ntfs drivers, and aMSN. Booted it down, started up (3rd time) and after it goes through the loading process it just shows my mouse pointer with those loading bubbles around it, and a black screen. I've rebooted many times, and now im on my windows computer.. Im thinking of moving back to FC4....

Any ideas what this could be??

it be removing what your've recently installed to try to figure out what is causing your system to hang.

You say you installed the NTFS driver and aMSN. Remove either of them and see if you get back into your system. if not remove them both for the time being.

If it helps, I too have loaded the NTFS driver and I did not run into the problem. I would start with the aMSN. However our systems may be different enough of course that it still could be the NTFS driver. I compiled it new after loading FC5. I am runing an AMD64.

Hope it helps.
