Sound card misdetection in FC5 resulting in no sound

I have three "sound devices" in my computer:
1. Onboard sound card
2. Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS
3. MSI TV Anywhere card (conexant-based)

I disabled the onboard sound card, so that leaves two sound devices. For some reason, Fedora Core 5 has chosen the Conexant CX8801 sound device as the default and does not use the emu101k driver for sound. Any suggestions on how to force the loading and use of the SoundBlaster card over the MSI capture card?

During installation, there was the option of playing a "test sound", and it worked properly.

Nope, that's not it. I have the exact same problem as jsowoc. I have the same TV card and AC97 onboard sound. Almost every time I boot up, it puts the TV card in there and not the AC97. Sometimes it detects correctly and I have sound, but not often.

And this is something new with FC5. Never had any problems with FC4. This box also has SUSE 10.0 and Mandriva 2005 LE on it. No problems there either. The onboard sound is a vanilla AC97. Nothing out of the ordinary.
