error while installing FC4

As I hit enter at boot option to start installation, 2 seconds go by and thn the following errors are shown:

RAMdisk: couldn't find valid ramdisk image starting at 0.
VFS : cannot open root ="<NULL>" or unknown block(8,3).
please append a correct "root=" boot option.
kernel panic : not syncing : VFS : unable to mount root fs on unknown block (8,3).

thn installation just stops. Can ne one help me out? wat shall I do?
