FC5 on thinkpad R31 - trackpoint problem

My laptop's pointer gets all crazy once in a while - skits around the screen, opening things, closing things. Anyone know how I can fix? TIA.

Thinkwiki has some or I should say quite a bit of information, though I do not remember this specific issue. You said once in a while. What are the events that precede this behavior. Are you running test 2 or 3? Test 2 had some quirks across the board that the most recent updates in test 3 have cured. I'm not running Fc5 on my t23, but I have it installed on a desktop and the most recent updates are running flawlessly.
