Just setup a FC4 box at work to play with, but im getting some weird happenings with the ethernet.
If I have the ethernet plugged in and bring up the adapter it tells me the IP Address is already in use, when I know it isnt, and to prove this I have used about three different IP's on a Testing Range we use to build up new PC's.
The only way i seem to be able to get the box on the network is to bring up the adapter before inserting the ethernet cable, then the networking works quite happily. But thats not great if I need to restart the box remotely.
Also the default gateway rule never seems to stay to what I set it too.
I have tried three different network cards also. Im guessing its a fault with the network itself but im clueless to what technically could be the problem.

and My Gateway is supposed to be 192.168.1.238 which is out ADSL router, but always seems to default to our Domain Controller.
