Unable to install Fedora Core 4!

Dear,

I am trying to download Fedora Core 4 on my desktop PC HP Compaq dc7600 SFF.
When prompted to press Enter to start installation, the installation process starts but I get a message saying that it cannot find attached hard drive and i have to choose to install a device driver. If I ignor enad proceed with the wizard I reach the partitioning menu and i get a message saying that it cannot find a drive to create the file system on.

And I can't go further I have to reboot and I am stuck in this loop!!!

Please help

Regards,
WaJo

Hi:
This may not be the ultimate solution for you, however I would suggest waiting a few more days for the release of FC5. [I think it is still scheduled to be released on March 15] Since the sata controller/sata drive recoginition is much improved over FC4.

Seve is right. Wait till FC5 comes out. Just few more days. If you insist installing FC4, check on your bios set up. Should be " Enable PATA only" and " Keep SATA on". Im not 100% sure about that solution.
