Network Engineers Software Set?

Good day all,

I have made the jump on my management workstation to Fedora Core 4. I have been an avvid Fedora Server guy for small mail/web/databases, but I just got some fire under my toes to move my management workstation to Fedora. I have never used a Unix based platform as a workstation so I was wondering if anyone knew of a large tool set for a Network Engineer? On my XP station i used the Solarwinds.net Engineering Toolset which included Performance Monitoring, Discovery Tools, Cisco Tools, Fault Monitoring, MIB Browser tools, Security tools etc. If another one of you Network Engineers uses a good set of workstation Administrative tools I would appreicate any links to the software.

So far for a network monitoring tool set I have found useful is:

NMIS - http://www.sins.com.au/nmis/ Network Monitoring of LAN/WAN
Nedi - http://nedi.web.psi.ch/ Network Discovery tool - very powerful.

Regards.

Another tool to consider is Nagios, which intergrates nicely into webmin.
