Toshiba TE2100 upgrade from RH9

I currently have a Toshiba TE2100 laptop with RH9 on it, ACPI isn't working, (no kernel support)
Im downloading FC1 disks to upgrade to Fedora. Is there anything special needed to be done to enable the laptops features?

I know about the acpi=on parameter.
What about for enabling HotSwap on my selectbay I got a DVD/CDRW and a Second HDD.

Hibernation support?

Does Captive-NTFS work on FC1? I have it running on RH9.

cheers,
jabz
