Marvell SK98lin network problems

Hi friends !
I've installed my FC4 and
I've a little problem with my network inteface Marvell Technology 88E8001 and its driver sk98lin.
I've updated the kernel 2.6.11.. with the new one 2.6.15-1.1831_FC4 but nothing is changed !
Onto network interface there 's no activity, and the led no blink !
with command : ifconfig eth0
i receive the correct ip configuration and all it seems works but if i perform a ping
vs another host... i receive : network is unreacheable... and i don't receive no answer ..
with :
lsmod | grep sk98lin
the module is loaded onto kernel !!
if i also try with
ifconfig eth0 up... nothing change !!!

I am becoming crazy and I don't really understand !!!
someone could help me ?
Thanks a lot !
Max

Try shutting your box down ... unplug the power from the machine ... Then reconnect the cable and power it back up. See if it see's the nic then.

I had similar issues with earlier kernels. Im using 2.6.14 series of kernels without any problems. However you'll need to unplug the machine so it'll reset the nic's state.. A reboot is not sufficient.
