Firewire HD problems

Hi,

I'm a recent Fedora convert and pretty new to linux in general. I have an old SIIG firewire card that I use to connect a firewire hard drive to my computer. It used to work perfectly under Mandrake but Fedora is having trouble with it. Plugging the HD in results in this message:

Mar 24 20:11:27 localhost kernel: ohci1394_0: SelfID received, but NodeID invalid (probably new bus reset occurred): 0800FFC0

I am running FC1 with kernel 2.4.22-1.2174.nptl.

Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated!!

Thanks,
Mike

Sounds like a bug to me. Returns lots of hits on google.

You could always try a 2.6 kernel just to check.
