squid + dansguardian

hi! this is my first time posting in this forum. i have a fc4 installation and i also have squid and dansguardian installed. both services are currently running. i need the web filtering abilities of dansguardian and they are not working. i can visit any porn site and i can get through flawlessly. i'm sure i am doing something wrong. the fc4 computer is not acting as a router. all of the clients are using the proxy address in the proxy settings of the browser. any help would be greatly appreciated!

do you have dansguardian listening set up to connect to squid at 127.0.0.1, port 3128, and your clients set up to access dansguardian at port 8080? you would need to post your config files for more specific info.

you were right. it was listening to a squid server we stopped using. we were consolidating everything on one server and forgot to fix that. thanks. i never thought of that until you mentioned it!
