BAD memory configuration was causing memory errors!!! I had run several memory diagnostics under Win2k and found NO problems. However Memtest86 turned up between 7 and 10 errors per pass. I called the manufacturer, Corsair, and talked to Tech support. I was walked through some bios setting changes to manually configure memory rather than AUTO. That corrected this issue.
Considering the trouble I've had with Fedora crashing durring install I'm not sure I'm going to reattempt.
Is there anything I can do to stop FC4 from crashing while copying files (I have no problems until files are actually being installed), it never crashes in the same place twice?
I'm using iso images in a directory on hda4 to install.
Checked them every way I know how - SHA1SUM and mediacheck.
Also where do get more info on "Kickstarting"? Looks like thats an install script you configure to select the options and fill in the blanks.
