usually u save files in your home folder. normal software is usually installed in /usr/lib or /usr/local/lib and games are often installed in /usr/local/games. some stuff is installed in /opt/

cool, thanks, if i have wine, and i wanna install windows software, y have to put a path, instead of drive C:, in that case i can install any software for example on /usr/local/lib, because i try to install a programm, and cant find any icons.

if you're installing software with wine usually just install it in drive c and then it'll be located in ~/.wine/drive_c/ unless u want to install it so that multiple users can access it in which case u need to do some extra steps and u should read the wine documentation for that
for creating an icon read here

btw what windows software? there are lots of great linux alternatives to just about everything and it might be worthwhile to try them out and see if u like them
