Wireless optical mouse problem
Hi folks,
FC3
Just have Intelligent wireless keyboard combo and wireless optical mouse installed. The keyboard works but the mouse does not work. The red light at the bottom of the mouse is on. Moving the mouse has no effect on the cursor. Now I have to use an USB mouse in combination.

I too am finding issues with Microsoft wireless mice in FC 5. Below is my mouse section of /etc/X11/xorg.confg:
Section "InputDevice"
Identifier "Mouse0"
Driver "mouse"
Option "Protocol" "IMPS/2"
Option "Device" "/dev/input/mice"
Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"
Option "Emulate3Buttons" "yes"
EndSection
My biggest issue is that I get random lockups of the entire OS right after a cursor freeze. The mouse has good batteries and I have no issues with it inside Winbloze. However, I'm thinking it may be an issue with Firefox or directly related to Mozilla code. It always seems to happen when I'm browsing or using KTorrent search function. Otherwise the mouse works fine with the exception of the side to side scroll in apps. Maybe a USB driver issue??????? Not sure.

HI, after the last update, my mouse works erratically, too.
It is a wireless 2.4Ghz Logiteck Mouse, and it works, but sometimes when I physically click, I get a double click on the screen. This means it is difficult to select text and sometimes it opens files when you just want to select it to move it someplace else.
So maybe it is not just a problem with you mice, but with the system itself.

Microsoft 6000 wireless mouse (1052) and keyboard(1045) on FC5
It appears the Wireless Laser Desktop 6000 wireless mouse and keyboard show basic functionality with my system running FC5. The "magnify" button isn't functional, of course, as are most of the programmable function keys. If anyone is able to get any of the function keys assigned and working in FC5, please let me know. Thanks.
My /etc/X11/xorg.conf as generated by FC5's install: (relevant sections)
Section "InputDevice"
Identifier "Keyboard0"
Driver "kbd"
Option "XkbModel" "pc105"
Option "XkbLayout" "us"
EndSection
Section "InputDevice"
Identifier "Mouse0"
Driver "mouse"
Option "Protocol" "IMPS/2"
Option "Device" "/dev/input/mice"
Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"
Option "Emulate3Buttons" "yes"
EndSection
