I have the intel wireless pro 2200BG. FC4 recognizes it, but not as a wireless card (I can't set up a wireless connection with it, yet it will let me try to set up an ethernet connection with it)
I wanted to try installing the drivers from http://ipw2200.sourceforge.net/
here to see if that would fix the problem. But I need to make at least one change before installing or the installation won't go well from what I gather.
Is it possible just to edit the autoconf.h file without rebuilding the kernel?
Actually I read the installation instructions a little deeper, and I guess I don't need to make the changes because the two settings are _MODULE and this is okay. According to it I need to "remove the binary module and relevant include files". It supposedly has instructions for that , so I will forge ahead.
unless someone has way to get this working?
