hi guys
I'm having the same issue. I got FireFox1.5 to run, and i put the link to jre, but still getting issues.
as Trek1701 said, i'm getting the plugin_stack.trace file
I've tried to run the touch /.autorelabel
but it didn't change anything. I rebooted, del the old .trace and tried again, only to have it do the same thing..

and the aboutlugins returned
bash: aboutlugins: command not found

anyother ideas?

-PD

From my $HOME:
[philippe@victor ~]$ ls -l .mozilla/plugins/libjavaplugin_oji.so
lrwxrwxrwx 1 philippe philippe 62 jan 13 22:12 .mozilla/plugins/libjavaplugin_oji.so -> /usr/java/jdk1.5.0_06/jre/plugin/i386/ns7/libjavaplugin_oji.so
So you would have to:
ln -s /usr/java/jre1.5.0_06/plugin/i386/ns7/libjavaplugin_oji.so $HOME/.mozillamozilla/plugins/libjavaplugin_oji.so

Wh0M3,

If /.autorelabel command didn't work, do this:
Open:
Desktop > System Config > Security Level
Enter your root password. Go to SELinux tab and check the option "Relabel on next reboot".
Click OK and reboot your pc.
Next time you try to use java it should work and the "plugin_stack.trace" shouldn't appear.

Using my regular non-root user account, it does not ?? Have no idea why - gone over the directories and cannot find anything a miss. Jre1.5.0_06 was installed as root as well as when I created the link from /opt dirctory to /usr/lib/mozilla .

Yes, I made a typo on libjavaplugin_oji.so - sorry.

So, we are making progress but now how do I get it to work for the non-root user account ?? Thank you everyone !
This might help..

Try installing your jre using your non-root account. And create your link using your non-root account. I always use my non-root account (my personal login) when installing third party applications such as jre. In this way, my account (i am the only one who uses my pc) has all the necessary permission on all third-party applications I install.
