ERR: in /proc/interrupts related to multitasking and video problems?

I have athlon xp 2ghz
768mb ram
nvidia 6200(previously ati radeon 9600se, but same problem)
audigy2
dma is on

When i watch video in mythtv, totem, etc, and multitask, video and often audio "chucks."

is it related to the following ERR: in proc/interrupts, and if so, how can i change? I notice ERR: greatly increases while I am watching mythtv.
