ATI remote Control

Im using the ATI remote control on fedora 4 on 2.6.14

iv been following this guide here to get mythtv setup
http://wilsonet.com/mythtv/fcmyth.php

have come to the remote control part now and i have an ATI remote and seems other people have got it to work ok so througth id have a go.

i have followed the guide here for the remote
http://www.fedoranews.org/contributo.../remotewonder/

the problem is i am not getting any outputs from irw from the remote

when i run

/usr/local/sbin/lircd
no erros etc

if i run
/usr/local/bin/irw

it shows no key presses etc and sits there till i terminate it.

iv checked and i have modules loaded
lirc-dev
lirc-atiusb

lsusb shows the remote connected

/sbin/lsusb
Bus 005 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 004 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 003 Device 002: ID 0bc7:0004 X10 Wireless Technology, Inc. X10 Receiver
Bus 003 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 0000:0000

im running
irw 0.8.0pre2
lircd 0.8.0pre2

if i try to run lircd in nondemon mode i can't get irw to connect it reports

iv dont some more playing around

i can now run
/usr/local/sbin/lircd /etc/lirc.conf -nodemon

and then run
irw as user

and get

/usr/local/sbin/lircd /etc/lirc.conf -n
lircd: lircd(atiusb) ready
lircd: accepted new client on /dev/lircd

but IRW still does not see any inputs.

if i run in mode2 i can see all the keys on the remote working as exspected and displaying a code etc.

any dieas why irw or lircd is not seeing the remote inputs?

Im having the same trouble. The guide links to an old page that instructs you how to install the remote wonder, which refers to the FC1 version....

Anyone figure out how to fix this problem? I am getting the same thing. It tells me that the connection was refused when I try to run irw and lircmd. I am getting pretty annoyed with this. I am using a Remote Wonder II with FC4
