Gdesklets available in Extras repository
Ladies and gentlemen,
Normally, I announced it on the next issue of Fedora News but I will make an exception for all Fedora Forums members.
For the first time in Fedora Extras history, gdesklets 0.35.2 is now available for FC3 and FC4. FC3 users will be glad to get this package as a Xmas gift before being transfered to Legacy. Get it fresh via yum.
Code:
yum install gdesklets
Don't forget to submit bug report to improve gdesklets Fedora style.

Nice, thank you Finalzone. Although i have had gdesklets installed for a long time manually, i still remeber the countless time i spent on it before.
Thanks again!

Congrats. Well done on your first contribution to the Fedora Extras project. As a fairly popular package thats not so easy to setup, making this available in extras repository significantly enhances the ease of use for Fedora users who want some of that gdesklets eye candy ;-)

And I'm pretty sure there are quite a few people wishing evil and bad omens on you since they had to install it the hard way....Or couldn't get it to work at all

I would think that those would couldn't get it to work at all would be thanking him profusely. After all, without this, they'd have nothing to install it with.

Sure they do, you have to compile it manually and resolve all the dependencies issues yourself. That's the way I did and several others got it to work. Now if we would of just waited, we probally would of saved ourselves a few headaches. Don't read too much into the msg, it was a joke.......
