web sites don't load to completion

This doesn't happen all the time but it's happening enough to draw my attention. Also I lost the use of FC3 Gnome dictionary: it suddenly reported it couldn't connect to the server.

I'm running the current FC3 + all recent updates.

I did play around with other gnome desktop themes, but put back what I had been using. Other than this I havn't done anything to the system.

I also run web pages on this same system set up as "virtual" in my apache server. Now the 2nd virtual site is reproting that it can find a file, subsequently it isn't loading?

It seems too coinsidental. Somehow I think they are related.

suggestions?
