What program do I have to associate with a ".bin" file to open it and how exactly do I find it in the filesystem?
Also, in the GUI enviornment can I run ".rpm" files and if so then same as first question? THANX

Usually you need to change the permission...
at the command line as root

chmod u+x xxxxx.bin

Then execute the file with

./xxxx.bin

For a rpm file run:

rpm -Uvh xxx.rpm
