Officejet k80

First off I'm kind of new to the world of Linux, so excuse me if I sound silly. I have an Officejet k80 printer attached to my computer thru the usb. When I add printer and I select the K80 printer in the location screen and I select print test page, it does not work. I do not understand how the OS can recognize the printer and install the driver but fail to print a test page. Is there something I'm missing? Could it be that the printer is connected to the USB that causes it to fail?

You're printer shows up as mostly compatible. It should use HP's inkjet driver, so the printer config tool is supposed to set it up correctly. What driver does the printer config tool show, when you look at the details of the queue?

Also, you have checked the obvious: printer plugged in to power and USB, on, has paper and ink, etc.?
