How to run a script on startup

I have a set of configuraions that I want to run automatcally o n startup. I tried to place a reference to the configurations file on /etc/rc.d/rdlo.cal but that's not working.

How do I alter the default "RH-Firewall-1-INPUT" configuration to suit my needs, having it ?

I have ro say that there's no graphical interface in the machine I want to do auto-configure.
