New ATi drivers work great but game play.

I got the new drivers working fine, but the only problem now is that none of my games like Enemy territory, quake, or UT work anymore.. which is wierd cause all of my gl stuff runs smooth.. fps is way up. But cannot get the games to go after the new driver install..

I'm stuck.. any help would be great..

You need to be a lot more specific than "wont work".

Does any error appear? Does running the games in a terminal produce any text output? What does the command

glxinfo

show about your accelerated drivers? Does the glxgears test work?

Hello, I have the same problem, just updated to new drivers and I cant play quake3 or enemy territory (with old drivers they worked perfect)

Just a silly question, did you remove the old kernel-module before you installed the new one?

well it doesn't matter now because I downgraded so that my games would work again.. but I did the install just like in the Fedora FAQ..
