I'm running FC3, X86_64. My original configuration was an ATI AIW with an ATI TV-Wonder for PIP (Windoze only since ATI does not provide Linux drivers for its proprietary TV section of the AIW). I ran the ATI video driver and bttv with tvtime worked well with the TV-Wonder. I used the onboard sound.
Then I upgraded my hardware. I moved the TV-Wonder to a formerly unused PCI slot and installed an Audigy 2 where the TVW was and turned off the onboard sound. I pulled out the ATI AIW and plugged in a G-Force FX5200. Then I added an HD-3000 hi-def TV tuner card to a formerly empty slot.
On reboot it recognized the removal and addition of all the removed and added stuff and I answered "Yes" to removing and configuring. The sound and video worked flawlesslly. But tvtime is no longer able to control the TV-Wonder. I have since removed the HD-3000 in an attempt to remove possible conflicts.
If I reboot in Windows and run the TV program, the channel I selected in Windows is visible in tvtime when I reboot in Linux. Sound and video are normal. I just can't change channels. tvtime thinks it's changing channels (shows different numbers) but the channel does not change. It seems the video capture portion is fine but there is no control of the tuner.
I have made sure the settings in modprobe.conf are the same as they were all except the different sound driver. Are there other places where configurations settings are stored that may have been corrupted when the HD-3000 was installed?
All help and/or advice will be greatly appreciated.
