No sound on compaq v2000 with FC4

how do i turn the external amp on? Im in alsa mixer but the external amp is turned off

here is my lspci output

I have a v2000 notebook, and the volume buttons above the keyboard, the mute button is lit up. I cant find anyway to get the sound workin. Any help is appreciated

In alsamixer, just use the arrow keys to navigate to the external slider, then use m to toggle the mute on/off.
