Surf Anonymous

On Windows, I can hide my IP address through a proxy or something like that with a program called Surf Anonymous. Is there a way I can do that with Linux? It seems my ip and LUG can't connect at all, but I don't think they've banned my IP address intentionally since I haven't done anything to them.

you dont need a program, google "proxy list" and use a proxy server from one of the results.
in firefox: edit > preference > general > conn settings > manual > enter the address

this is exactly what youre looking for. you use it in conjunction with the switchproxy extension of firefox. no more screwing around with lists. let tor handle it.
