Hi!
I'm trying to build the rpm's for several canon bubble-jet printers (one of which I have) under FC4 and I am stuck at one point. The last lines of the output are
+ cd ..
+ mkdir -p /var/tmp/bjfilter-common-root/usr/lib/bjlib
+ for PR_ID in 218 221 238 230 214
+ install -c -s -m 755 218/database/bjfilterpixusip3100.conf 218/database/cnb_2180.tbl 218/database/cnbpname218.tbl /var/tmp/bjfilter-common-root/usr/lib/bjlib
strip: /var/tmp/bjfilter-common-root/usr/lib/bjlib/bjfilterpixusip3100.conf: File format not recognized
install: strip failed
error: Bad exit status from /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.78515 (%install)
RPM build errors:

I built the same packages under FC3 and I didn't get this at all. Does anybody know what it means? Does it have any connection with this other piece of text I se throughout the compile output:
Please add the files
codeset.m4 gettext.m4 glibc21.m4 iconv.m4 isc-posix.m4 lcmessage.m4
progtest.m4
from the /usr/share/aclocal directory to your autoconf macro directory
or directly to your aclocal.m4 file.
You will also need config.guess and config.sub, which you can get from
ftp://ftp.gnu.org/pub/gnu/config/ ?
Please help! I don't want to have to install VMware to print from Linux.
