FC4 Base Install via yum?

Quick question...

I want to try out the Xen virtualization on FC4. I have a loaded up FC4 machine, Xen happy.

To do it, I have made a loop mounted file based filesystem. I wanted to install a base FC4 OS on it (like using yum --installroot=/mnt -g groupinstall Base)
The thing is, I would like to use my DVD distro instead of drawing off an internet repository. I have copied the RPMs and did createrepo but I do not have any group definitions.
Is there a way, using yum or another method, to install the OS files from the DVD, while running FC4, to a filesystem?
