opening ports

I use fc4 I need to open port 6881 in azureus and tried to open security level in the system setting menu i gave it my root pass and it dose nothing? So how do i now open ports? Is their a fix for this? Or is their a way to do it in terminal? Any help would be mutch apprecated

in the security level, on the bottom where it allows user input - you should be able to type

6881:tcp

that doesn't work?

Once you do that, type (as root)

iptables -L and see if it is listed in your firewall rules.

See the Azureus section of the Notes for an explanation of configuring iptables with the proper ports. You may also have to forward these ports in your router or gateway.
