GNOME Nautilus crash

Hi all,
I'm using FC4 with GNOME, kernel version: 2.6.12-2.1456_FC4(homemade), it works fine there. But i suffered a strange thing last night, Nautilus went wrong and I only had taskbar on the desktop, all icons disappeared and i couldn't right click on the desktop either! That's quite strange, I was told Nautilus goes wrong and have to quit soon. However, nearly all the apps i could run correctly except "file browser". It wasn't changed anything with rebooting several times. After that, I loged in as root and did "chmod -R 755 /home/leeye", loged out and loged in as leeye, I was told the same error info again but after i clicked on the 'OK' button, desktop displayed fine!
Anyone knows what happened? Or where can i find log info to fixed it? Although it works fine now, I don't know if it will happen again next time!
Thanks! And sorry for my poor English and bad expressions.

Same problem here with 2.6.12-1.1447_FC4smp.

Nautilus process hang (strace give me a FUTEX_WAIT).

Are you using the Fedora as a terminal server?

I had a problem with Nautilus on a p3 FC3 box (this was a while back) - problems seem to have gone away though. I haven't heard a lot of good things about Nautilus though.
