I have installed the drivers for my Belkin 54g G notebook card. However, when I finish I get this error: "set mode:8B06"
"SET failed on device eth:01"

The device has been activitated, but I still can't connect to the internet. The network is already setup and working for this computer (running XP).

Please help.

Does the computer need a localhost file in order for the internet to work, or connect to a network?

I don't know how much help this will be, but I have a Dell Broadcom 1300 (54g) card in my laptop and I got it working great with ndiswrapper. I got it from the livna repositories - just get the right version for your computer (i686 was mine) and the correct kernel version (every time you update the kernel you have to uninstall, the install ndiswrapper again as it's very kernel dependent).

Once installed, try "ndiswrapper -i <inffilename>" then "ndiswrapper -m" then reboot. replace <inffilename> with the inf from your setup cd or whatever - it's the same inf that windows uses when installing the card.

Hope that helps you out.
