fc4x64 no go

no matter how many times i dl and burn discs 1-4 of fc4 x64, no disc has made it thruogh the test. 2 different burners, 4 differnet speeds, 3 types of discs, sha1sum comes out right, only disc 5 passes the integrity check

when i try to install anyway i jsut get a nice white screen. wtf mates.

I noticed you're already running FC3 from some of your earlier posts. You might try upgrading via yum instead. If you run into any issues you may also want to take a look at this faq

considered that, and decided against it mainly becasue of this from that faq, but i might try it just for shizzles.

x86_64 systems seems to hang during "Running Transaction Test"

Seems related to [WWW] Bug 155730 -- Maybe a update to the "rpm-4.3.3-3.0.fc3" (currently in updates-testing) might solve this. Ugly workaround (to be done as root):

hey awesome, imight give that a show right now. how exaclty do i do this? jsut type that in at the screen that is telling me to hit enter for gui install?

ok i did a text only install since the graphical one never got passed a white screen. and now it wont boot. it says

Boot from cd:
GRUB

and hangs. now i have no server is there a way to do

linux text
and
linux ide=nodma ?

got it running, had to put in a video card that could handle the graphic install. apparethy a trident 96 wiht 2 megs of ram dont cut it, on grapshic install wiht "linux ide=nodma" worked liek a dream.
