Hi,
Last week I have upgraded from Gnome 2.10 to 2.12 by recompiling the packages in Fedora development repository. The compilation order was the something between the one given for
Gnome site (2.8) and the one on
Linux From Scratch site.
Now I have a little problem. If I try to delete an item, Nautilus moves it in the trash folder (which is computed with gnomevfs algorithm) but the
Empty trash menu does not activate. Furthermore, when typing
trash: in the location bar (I have activated it with gconf-editor), the right panel is completely empty despite the fact there
are files in the folder that is supposed to be the
Trash can (I checked with ls).
Somehow, I believe the cause may be the
Trash can monitor, but I am not sure. Can anyone tell me what should I change in order to solve the problem? Eel? Nautilus?
Regards,
Alex.
P.S. for those asking for experiences with firefox 1.0.6 not displaying any text, yes, I have experienced that too!
