monkey audio (ape)

anyone know how to make it work in fc4?
i try this >http://sourceforge.net/projects/mac-port/ <, but i can't make it work. mac-3.99-u4-b4 won't compile due to nasm incompabilty (i think) and xmms-mac-0.3.1 do this when i try to run ./configure
#############
checking for GLIB - version >= 1.2.2... no

*** If GLIB was installed in PREFIX, make sure PREFIX/bin is in
*** your path, or set the GLIB_CONFIG environment variable to the
*** full path to glib-config.
configure: error: *** GLIB >= 1.2.2 not installed - please install first ***
#############
and glib is installed;
# rpm -qa |grep glib
glibc-kernheaders-2.4-9.1.94
glibc-common-2.3.5-10.3
glib-1.2.10-16 (> GLIB >= 1.2.2)

if anyone was succesfull to make .ape files to play on xxms please help.

thanks,

when compiling, you need the respective -devel packages (like glib-devel-1.2.10-16 in your case)

need to buy a better glasses,
you were right, after i installed glib-devel all went through, not exactly without other problems
but in the end i got it to work. here is how.

first i uninstalled yasm (and yasm-devel) and installed latest version of nasm.
nasm-0.98.39-1.i386.rpm
(mac port is complaining that can not find nasm when yasm is installed)
then install mac-3.99-u4-b4.tar.gz, then xmms-mac-0.3.1.tar.gz.
then you can remove nasm and restore yasm.

thanks Mat for help,.

Isn't there an RPM for xmms-mac? I've built my own xmms-max-0.3.1-botond.i386.rpm (and it works) but I don't trust my RPM building capabilities (I think it depends on a lot of unneded things). mac-3.99-1.u4b4.2.fc4.1.i386.rpm found at rpm.pbone.net was just perfect.
