replacement for windows media player

When i go a website that requires windows media player to play a video like this site for instance...

http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm...20050906202759

I get a window saying "additional pluggins needed"
when i click to download the "pluggin" it prompts for a manual install and takes me to the windows media player website...

what can i download that will substitue this and let me veiw the video or content on the site.
thanks
John
