JavaScript based SSH client

Hi,

Are there any SSH clients based on javascript? I want to do work on a home system while in the office, the office dosn't have java installed and you can install anything

If you in stall webmin, a java ssh-client will be available

No you can´t

The short answer is that javascript does not have a socket primitive. You do have XMLHttpRequest, but can only connect to webservers over HTTP.

Then you have all the "but a server component" answers/questions on top of this.

another person getting java and javascript confused?

can we all move to calling it ecmascript again please?

Hear hear! I frequent several webdev forums, and the number of posts we get in the Javascript forum entitled "looking for a Javascript applet..." or "can someone help me with a Java image rollover" is quite ridiculous.

Doubt it. There is a Java SSH client I saw on yum. Can't remember what it was called, though. Google it.

In java there should be no problem! Me confused But for all that I know, the javascript part (previous post), there is no way ???
