MenuX 0.2.3 Firefox extension released

Menux 0.2.3 stable has been released. Soon to be available at https://addons.mozilla.org/ or get it now at http://markbokil.org/index.php?secti...ux_install.php

New features:
Custom hide/show options for toolbar toggling, font size popup, bookmarks popup, linux mail buttons, custom reminder option, large icons for high-rez screens, window list popup switches windows in fullscreen mode, Fedora sidebar with Gnome, KDE, XFCE and System applications menu.

This version is about 90% compatible with deerpark. A couple more features have to be updated to make it work in deerpark 100%. The next stable version will support deerpark 100%.

Menux was designed on Fedora Core 4, with XFCE4, Clearlooks theme, Gimp2, and Gedit. It was developed using Javascript, XUL, CSS, XPCOM, and XML. GPL license, of course.

I hope everyone likes the new version. I put a lot of time into it and added a lot of user requested features such as the ability to set which toolbars toggle. It should work out good on a tablet PC. Here is a tip for getting maximum screen realestate. Click the chromeless window mode button in menux. Then instead of using tabs use new windows. Press Alt+= and a popup list of your windows will appear so you can quickly navigate between windows. If for some reason you need the chrome turned on for a window press F12 and it will reappear.

I am an, er, retired developer. I now work as a mental health counselor for substance abuse, believe it or not. I just like to poke around in code now making extensions for Firefox for fun. I got out of the software business since the pay cuts going around gave me a real sour taste in my mouth.

Menux is now available in IT, FR, DE, PL, and FR translations:
