Unhappy naming partitions

Hey team. Just clean installed fc4 on my mythtv box (upgrade from fc3). I backed all my saved shows and games up on the partition i had created /video . welp, when i partitioned my drive with disk druid when installing fc4, i forgot to name the /video partition. is there a way to name it after the fact? will my data still be there? i did not format that partition. just / and /boot

Ultimately you'll need to check your '/etc/fstab' file and add it there. The low-level way to check or set a LABEL for a partition is using dumpe2fs and tune2fs. Dumpe2fs will let you see the current LABEL and tune2fs can set the LABEL.. You'll still need to make sure you have a '/etc/fstab' entry for the filesystem so that you can mount it. I'm sure there are some associated GUI tools for all this, but I would not be familiar with them.

Just adding the partition to fstab should not create any problems. And in case it does, you can always remove the entry from fstab later.
