Windows files not visible on USB drive - FC4

Ahh my first thread. Had to happen sometime.

I've been using a USB drive to move files from my M$ box at work to my home FC4 box. Or rather I haven't.

Under FC3 it worked perfectly, I could move things about easily - after the FC4 upgrade all files put on by windows aren't visible.

Oddly, all files put on by FC4 aren't visible to windows either.

So; each OS can read/write to the drive but can't see the others files.

Any idea why?

Also, the USB doesn't mount on the (KDE) desktop as requested but appears under /media - even when it's removed.

An odd one I think.

are you logging in as root? that might show up the hidden files... also under view turn on the show hidden files.

sounds very weird though

Yep, did all that.

if you view them in a terminal window and do a ls does it show up anything?
