Exclamation Fed. 4 Local Net OK No internet access

I just installed Fedora Core 4. Access to local net is OK but I can't access or ping any remote network addresses. I use a static IP address. My ISP uses static ip NAT translation defined through Ipchains. All my other computers can access the internet with static Ip with no problems with these same settings. My Fed. 4 box will access the ISP's DNS server, which is on the local net, with no problems but will not access anything beyond my ISP's router. I previously used RedHat 9 on this same computer with no problems. I have unloaded/disabled Ipchains with no success. I selected not to load selinux when I did the installation so I assume it is not running. HELP!!!!!!!!

Problem Solved .... Maybe

I found incorrect entries in the default routing table. By default at boot up my gateway was listed in the routing table as a local net which was incorrect. I setup a couple of entries in rc.local to correct the routing entries in the routing table at boot time. The script removes the incorrect entries and adds the correct entries. This seem to correct the problem.
I still don't know why the incorrect entries are generated by default.
