XVideo output in Fedora is uglier than earlier releases

I've noticed that XVideo output in Fedora is much uglier than in RedHat 7.2 (XFree86 4.1). It now looks like it has been scaled with a very cheap scaling algorithm, while in RedHat 7.2 everything looks smooth. My graphics card is ATI Rage 128.
Is this a driver issue? Is there any way to fix/work around this?

There are no drivers for the ATI Rage 128, only for FireGL, Mobile and Radeon.
