Sont GC79 GPRS / 802.11 card

Was wondering how the support for sony's gprs (t-mobile carrier) is with fedora, under the windows the applicaiton requires a "application" to complete the connection onto tmobile's gprs network, anyone with any experience doing this? I've seen some mis postings here and there, but nothing like a install guide or even in depth about how to "connect" to the network once the hardware actually has the correct drivers working..

Thanks in advance....

I have this card, and I found some scripts on google that claim that it works in linux. I looked around the Sony-Ericcson site and didn't find anything about linux there.

My problem is getting any PCMCIA cards to show up on a new Dell Inspiron 1200. No cards seem to get detected, I have a D-Link wireless PC Card and it doesn't get detected either. The hw is OK, both cards work fine in XP (it's a dual-boot laptop).

I am finding info on using the windows versions of the .sys and .inf files with ndiswrapper, just I dont know how to use ndiwrapper, so I am going to start looking there, FYI on other linux sites the gc79 has been confirmed working in both 802 and GPRS, now we just need someone to help walk us through it...

gprs portion - > www.crispian.org/gc79/Instructions

802.11 portion -> /www.fedoraforum.org/forum/showthread.php?t=29659&highlight=ndiswrapper

so far so good, at least my wifi is up..

seems to be wanting to work, link lights on the wireless 802 side, but no idea on how to do anything with the ppp/gprs, the other doc talks about pon, and poff, probally old commands, if-up ppp doesnt work, anyone got any ideas? or done this sucessfully? I am one of the unfortunant with a onboard wifi that uses the same chipset as the gc79, but the gc79 has a sony modded driver, so they both come up, but the internal wont work with the sony, or vise versa, gottafigure out that one as well...
