Graphics problems with PPRacer and Neverball, Neverputt

In the above games I am experiencing extremely slow graphics.
I have an ATI Radeon 9800 Pro and have installed the 3d drivers as per the instructions from fedorafaq.org.
The graphics on Enemy Territory are fine so i'm not sure what the problem is.
Any help would be appreciated.
