GRUB problem when Dual Booting Win XP and Fedora core 4

My friend is having a problem with his FC4 and Win XP dual-boot. He can't start his OSes up. After reinstalling GRUB, he gets this

"GRUB loading Stage 1.5
GRUB loading, please wait...
internal error : the second sector of Stage 2 is unknown"

Anyone know what's going on?
