Don't know why you want to go through that install phase when ATI's drivers work perfectly fine...

I have no idea which one gives better performace so maybe a small benchmark is in order here!

I wrote the howto for people that have difficulty with Radeons and KT400 (or P4X400) chipsets. I'm sorry for the downtime. In an incredible stroke of genious, I wiped my entire homedir. It should be back up now.
