How do i install WIne?

Im using Fedora Core 3 and i downloaded WIne from the official wine hq, now how do i properly install it? Now i already did it by using the Package MAnager, was that the right way?

Run winecfg, and set the things in it. After you set those, run wine filename.

what does it mean when it says that it cannot detect C:\WIndows? where do i create that if at all?
