This site (http://www.linuxdocs.org/HOWTOs/RPM-...x-HOWTO-8.html) says something about:
Use alien program to convert the debian packages to redhat rpm.
I found that site with google: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&c...=Google+Search
Don't convert debian packages to rpm format. Build rpms from scratch or just install from source code. Automatic routines make a mess of things.
To get started on building rpms, install the fedora-buildtools rpm from Fedora Extras and make a new rpm spec file by doing:
And read the fedora-extras wiki: http://www.fedoraproject.org/wiki/ExtrasCode:fedora-newrpmspec <name of software>
And read Max-rpm, the ultimate guide to rpm: http://www.rpm.org/max-rpm-snapshot/
thank you![]()
you can use alien to convert deb<->rpmI used it to convert rpm to deb but it could convert deb to rpm too
